Trains leave from both Georgetown and Silver Plume where the shops are located. There are 2 classes of service: open box cars w/bench seats and can be enclosed in bad weather and 1st class w/enclosed & heated (as necessary) with light snacks, soft drinks/water included; beer & wine available for purchase. Open cars are $25.95 and 1st class is $35.95. I’ve ridden the 1st class and it was worth the extra $10.00.

Round trip is 1 hr 15 minutes. An additional mine tour at the Lebanon mine (adjacent to the RR) is available for $35.95 and 1st class for $45.95 which includes train ride. Allow 2 1/2 hrs for both.

Daily trains at multiple times. Several classes of service at various prices. Breakfast, lunch, & dinner trains again with various price points. Trains have open cars, enclosed cars, diners, and VistaDomes.

That covers the nearby areas of attraction. Further out there is the Cumbres & Toltec in southern Colorado and northern  New Mexico at Antinito, CO to Chama, New Mexico and from Alamosa, CO, to LaVeta there is the there is the Rio Grand Scenic.
